Devotion: The Gift of Giving

To present voluntarily and without expecting compensation; bestow: to give a birthday present to someone.

In God's Word, He tells us that it is more blessed to give than to recieve. When we give to others, we are actually giving to God if we do it with a cheerful and willing heart. We should never give to others if we don't do it from our hearts, when we see others that aren't as rich as us we should always be  ready to help them. A great zinger says that, "Kindness is the greatest of all virtues." When we give to others we are practicing one of the greatest virtues because in a way when we give to others, we get a gift too because inside we feel good that we were able to help someone else out and know that we left them better off than before. God will even bless us if we give to others like He did, because He gave the greatest gift to us and to the whole world a long time ago when He sent His Son Jesus Christ to us on Earth. That was the greatest gift ever given to us and its the greatest gift that we can share with someone else.
