Step one: You must understand that you are a lost sinner.
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
Christ cannot save a sinner who does not believe he is lost any more than a physician can treat a patient who does not believe he is ill.
"For there is not a just man upon the earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not" (Ecclesiastes 7:20).
Adam was created without sin but fell by disobedience, and thus, the whole race fell and is by nature sinfully dead and lost.
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned" (Romans 5:12).
Step Two: You must understand you cannot change your sinful nature.
As a gift, God imparts eternal life to all who by faith will accept it.
Step Three: You must understand that Jesus Christ is the only Saviour from sin.
Muhammad, Budda and others who have claimed and who do now claim deity for themselves have great influence over millions, but they cannot save you. Of all those who have died and will die claiming to be God, Jesus Christ is the only one who has, and shall have returned from the dead. For this reason Christ, Himself, said:
"...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6).
Peter said concerning Jesus:
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).
Don't trust in some man, or man-made god to save you when no man can ever save himself, quite apart from saving you.
God's Word teaches:
"...while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
Step Four: You must look to Christ, and by faith accept him as your own personal Saviour.
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" (John 1:12).
Friend, are you lost right now knowing that you cannot save yourself? You need not be. In simple faith, you can be saved right where you are. Just ask the Lord Jesus Christ to come into your heart. According to the Word of God, He will save you the moment you invite Him into your heart.
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13).
Christ has provided for your salvation. He has even provided a way to get the true Gospel in this tract into your hands. From this very spot in time and place, you can go on now into everlasting life (John 3:16), or you can continue in sin, and as a result continue into everlasting fire and brimstone (Revelation 20:11-15). The choice is yours. I urge you choose right now--choose Christ.
WILL YOU ASK HIM NOW TO SAVE YOU?
Heavenly Father, I do understand that I am a sinner and I do want to be saved. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins. By faith, I here and now trust Him to come into my heart as my personal Saviour. Thank You Lord, for saving me. I promise to live for You the best I can as I understand it in the Word of God. Amen.
